Nick Gurfolino, aka Gurf, is an avant-garde producer/DJ who habits technique and expertise to yield trap and bass music to the next parallel. His multilayered artistry aligns with the helix of every DNA molecule floating around the body. Firing neurons of inspiration from hip-hop and dance music, he articulately fabricates an original recipe for disaster on the dancefloor.

His lucid craftsmanship has been proven in a vast sea of sound emitted from every speaker throughout his hometown of Baltimore, and beyond. At just 9 years old, Gurf found his passion for percussion as a drummer in his school’s jazz band program. From playing weekend gigs to building beats for his friends to rap over, the artist moved on to graduate from college with an Electronic Media & Film degree. With a proficient background for all things music-related, he sustains to use his talent daily, not only through the project of Gurf, but also through his additional career in music education.

In 2019, the bass vigilante collided his creations with good friend Runnit, in hopes to create a bottomless platform for the electronic underground. Through the opened doors of Partica Artist Group, Gurf unlocked his gratitude for the community by cultivating like-minded artists who push experimental soundscapes through the newest generation of wonky bass music. Devoted to rhythmic danceability, the artist-led label is now a collective, operating as one giant organism equipped to take over city halls and festival stages.

Gurf has swelled the sounds from inspirations such as Mr. Carmack, Troyboi, and Sam Gelliatry into something exceptionally innovative and charmingly atypical. His hit single “Chill TF Out” has been utilized in dances across TikTok and even made it onto the South Korean dance program Street Woman Fighter. With direct support from Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, and San Holo, Gurf is ascending from the underground through every release he unleashes.
